"My years are not advancing as fast as you might think..." - Phil Conners in 'Groundhog Day'

A couple of recent events made me realize that I'm 30 years old:

  • My friends and I have to coordinate via email 2-weeks in advance to play basketball together next Saturday.
  • My wife and I chose to stay home and watch Battlestar Galactica (a really great show) drinking iced tea instead of going to the club to hear our friend DJ a hip-hop set.
  • We decided we'd go next Sunday nite to the club, only because it's a holiday weekend and we don't have to get up to go to work in the morning (I used to be able to kick it all nite and still get up and go to work).
  • I got way too excited in a couple of conversations I had with someone regarding low-interest loans.

...sigh.....

it's just now hitting me. plus my wife's birthday is coming up, but that reminded me that she's STILL in her twenties! (29) And now that you've reminded me that you're only 22, I feel all the better. :-(
